The work session meeting of the Village of Falconer Mayor and Board of Trustees was held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 5:45 P.M. in the Community Building Board Room with Mayor James Rensel presiding.

Anthony Cavallaro, 201 E. Main Street, Steve Vanstrom, 2133 Buffalo Street Ext, both representing the Falconer Fire Department Advisory Board, and Joseph Taylor of 25 E. Falconer St were in attendance to observe the proceedings. Mr. Cavallaro and Mr. Vanstrom voiced concerns over an elected fire chief living outside of the district. Mr. Vanstrom noted that under the NYS Charter, the village is responsible for the fire department and should “take good fiscal judgement into account”.

The board discussed the scheduled public hearing regarding the Annexation of the Dow Street Sub-station by the Jamestown BPU.

Trustee Jaroszynski made a motion, seconded by Trustee Dunn to adjourn at 6:47 pm. Ayes: Dunn, Steele, Jaroszynski, Catanese and Rensel. Nays: none. Carried.
